About

Cullen Hal McRae was born April 15, 1973 in Bradenton, Florida to Harold and Johncyna (Williams) McRae. He graduated from Manatee High School in 1991, and attended Manatee Junior College where he played baseball for the Lancers. He later attended Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, FL and played baseball for the Rattlers. McRae graduated with a BS in Broadcast Journalism in 1996. After graduating, Cullen worked for the Florida Marlins Baseball Team as a Video Content Manager, Video Coaching Coordinator, and Traveling Secretary Assistant from 1998-2015. After working in various video producing roles in South Florida, Cullen relocated back to his hometown of Bradenton, Florida in 2020. Cullen was a loving father to his children, Cullen Hal McRae II and Alyssiana Renee McRae.

Cullen transitioned on March 5, 2023. This tournament is to honor his life and legacy.
